Al’s Little Singers is an alternative music group for pre-schoolers with songs of all different styles from around the world, percussion, movement ….and a whole lotta soul.

What to expect

Our groups are very musical. Children and their grown ups learn about rhythms and beats, call and response, rounds and harmonies. We start with a gentle warm before easing into some nursery rhymes and action songs. Then we enjoy the billowy parachute while the songs become more folky. We do some traditional circle songs before getting out our percussion and play around with rhythms before our bubbly finale!

About Me

I’ve been running Al’s Little Singers for over ten joyful years since I decided to pick up my guitar after having my first child. I continue to run these sessions as well as teaching music in a primary school.

Before I had children I was a journalist writing features and arts pieces for local and national papers. I had already thought about setting up my own music group for children when pregnant, but after I had my first baby I knew it was something that I could do and make it really good!
